International Business Marketing was founded by Eugene H. Marshall in Springfield, Missouri in 1982. He was an auctioneer all his life and after selling thousands of business in the United States, he developed a concept of listing them all together in one place. Connecting buyers and sellers fulfilled his passion of developing relationships and helping others, so the business strategy quickly proved successful. Cutting out the business politics and unnecessary business practices, Eugene soon took his business to the next level with the help of his son, Derrick Marshall.

Derrick attended Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, Mo. and went onto Southwest Missouri State University where he continued his business training. In 2006, Derrick took the leadership role at IBM after the passing of his father. Eugene’s business and relationship building skills are still integrated into every business endeavor that IBM undertakes.

IBM has been able to maintain its leadership in the business brokerage industry by investing in professional education programs, developing leading edge technology systems and leveraging a committed international office network.
